Description
The Togo Coastal Protection Development Project stands as one of the significant marine and
coastal infrastructure interventions undertaken in West Africa to combat coastal erosion,
protect vulnerable communities, and preserve critical economic and environmental assets
along the coastline of Togo.
Financed by the World Bank and completed successfully in 2020, the project covered over 54
kilometres of sea defense and coastal protection works aimed at safeguarding coastal
settlements, infrastructure, fisheries, and commercial activities from the devastating effects of
tidal waves, erosion, and climate-related coastal degradation.
Pedlo Energy Company Plc proudly served as the Subcontractor responsible for Project
Monitoring & Evaluation, Due Diligence, Project Auditing, Technical Reporting, and
Stakeholder Reporting throughout the execution phase of the project. The company played a
strategic role in ensuring compliance with international engineering standards, project
transparency, quality assurance, environmental monitoring, and effective communication
between project stakeholders and government authorities.
